Petroleum Jelly: Helping Generations, One Wrinkle At A Time
The petroleum jelly cream was handed down for generations as the go-to remedy to cure many of the diseases that affect our skin.
The cosmetic and pharmaceutical industry now thrives on the premise of producing countless of products that help the customer on a short-term basis, just to be able to perpetuate commerce.
Now, I am not saying that we should altogether skew the modern day healthcare industry and abandon everything for a more natural approach, but taking into consideration things that work now as good as they did 50 years ago, is not a bad thing to consider.
The petroleum jelly is definitely one of those products. What exactly is the petroleum jelly?
Vaseline is used as a moisture insulator for local skin conditions caused by tissue dehydration. It locks moisture in in your skin and works the chapped and sore skin.
Numerous anti-wrinkle creams stack the shelves of our local drugstores and beauty shops. Most of them don’t really seem to do anything with your wrinkles.
Vaseline just might do the trick. I read somewhere that the trick to Marilyn Monroe’s dewy face was a rather generous amount of Vaseline. She applied it to her face before shooting a scene or an editorial.
Wrinkles are caused by an aging skin that also underwent major dehydration throughout its lifetime. All of our daily activities revolve around using countless of facial muscles on a daily basis. That means that the upper surface of the dermis is under constant strain.
Just a tiny scoop of Vaseline applied around the eyes or the corners of your moth twice a day will go a long way with stopping the wrinkles from forming. Keep in mind that the absolute removal of damaged skin will never happen. However, the skin will receive a large percent of elasticity and hydration.
“It is great for your skin because of the high molecular weight which creates an impenetrable film on the skin, keeping junk from the environment out and moisture in.”
Wash your face thoroughly before going to bed tonight and rub some Vaseline on the area you want to affect.
